Polyurethane is the primary material used in the manufacture of Memory Foam along with the addition of some other chemicals to increase its density. It’s more scientificallly technical term is viscoelastic polyurethane foam. This material is generally firmer in cool weather and becomes softer when warmed. This thermal property allows the porduct to mould itself to the shape of a warm body within a few short mionutes. This body moulding effect can be increased by a lower density in the memory foam so that pressure alone can increase the time to take shape.
